A Foot in the Water is No Stuck in the Mud! To everything there is a season says Ecclesaistes! A season to be "stuck in the mud" and a season to "put your foot in the water"! Where are you at this point in life? A Sense of Urgency! Do it NOW! Remember when you Mom said that to you when she wanted your room cleaned or a car salesman said, "you gotta do it now or lose out on a great deal!' Well some things WILL wait. Others will NOT! Knowing what will and what won't is half the battle! BALANCING ACT! Much is being written, spoken of, and talked about relative to achieving “balance” in our lives! MEANING and PURPOSE in the 2nd Half of the Jiourney! The 2nd half of life's journey, whether we are a woman or a man, can be the most rewarding WHEN we use it wisely. Once we've shucked the trappings of youth and the strivings of early adulthood, then we can focus on finding the true meaning and purpose for why we are here - and pursue it with great confidence and passion! Voices of Authority! It’s never about how loud we speak. It’s never about the size of the words we use or the way we tilt our head or hold our hands. It’s about coming to that self-comfort level that anything we say, we know to be true. Voices! There is something about being a woman over 40 that urges us to grow into a place where we find ways to be heard; ways to be taken seriously (if we haven’t in the past); and ways to gain the respect of others - allowing us to speak with the voice of authority. WHAT SIZE CATCH DO YOU WANT? What makes the Bible relevant for today is that there are scores of lessons applicable to almost every story contained in Scripture. And not just for those in what the world calls "ministry"; but for all of us who bring our faith into the marketplace and seek to prosper as well. The story of Jesus, his disciples and casting their nets is no exception. Women of Excellence on Reflection! Women of Excellence are that because they've learned that maturity that leads to excellence is the fruit of 'discovery'. But discovery doesn't come without its key partner - 'reflection'. Life changing events always begin with reflection and lead to discovery! WOMEN OF EXCELLENCE – Who Are They! There is something phenomenal about reaching that point in life where we’ve entered the 2nd half of the journey. Yes, there are those who complain about advancing years and the downside of what can and often does come with it. But I’ve found that the ‘downside’ is offset by the very things that we
