A bride is no doubt in the limelight on the wedding celebration, but it does not imply that her groom should follow her as a shadow. Any man wishes he would be dressed in an elegant suit reflecting his good taste and leaving the most positive impression. Suits of the Groom and Their Variations While purchasing a suit, try to consider the proportions of your body. If a groom is not tall, he should not choose too long or too loose jackets with wide shoulders. A classical three-piece suit will ideally match a man of any stature. The jacket's sleeves should be 2.5 cm shorter than the shirt's cuffs to make visible the elegant collar buttons. Collar buttons may be of any color and shape. A groom may choose between a strictly-styled suit, tuxedo or tail-coat. The traditional alternative of a strictly-styled suit may be characterized as the one of a dark shade completed by a white shirt, silvery-grey or black-white tie, light-grey waistcoat, and black socks and shoes. The edge of a white kerchief should peep out of the breast pocket. A groom may also wear a waistcoat, tie and kerchief produced out of ornamentally-patterned material that should match the shade of the suit. A tuxedo with its fashionable black jacket featuring satin or silk lapels is a great choice for any groom. A tuxedo requires wearing trousers inwrought with silk lace along the outside seam, a snowy-white soft shirt which has a hidden forepart and double cuffs. In summer time it is nice to wear a tuxedo with a white marcella waistcoat, or a popular wide waistband form satin or silk. The shoes should be strictly black. If you have decided to celebrate your wedding in the most solemn manner, a tail-coat has been considered to be the most suitable clothing item for such an occasion since the beginning of the 19th century. Being produced out of black crepe, it is designed in the most original way - it has a short front part and long narrow "tails" behind. The lapels of the tail-coat are finished with mat silk. A tail-coat should be worn together with trousers without cuffs. A tail-coat is usually worn without buttoning up which allows to demonstrate snowy-white starched shirt with clip-on stand-up collar with edges slightly turned back. On the shirt a man puts on a marcella waistcoat with oblong lapels, lower and sometimes upper pockets. The buttons of the waistcoat should be white covered by silk or mother-of-pearl. An elegant detail to complete a tail-coat is a tie or a bow-tie produced out of highly qualitative materials, as well as kerchief out of quilting inserted in the upper pocket. All tail-coat accessories should be white, except black socks, patent-leather shoes and headdress (silk hat). Trousers Pay your special attention to the length of the trousers. The trousers should be not longer than the heel but not shorter than the ankle-bone. Ideally, the trousers should be up to the middle of the shoes' back. Be careful to choose the trousers of your size, otherwise you will not feel comfortable while wearing them. Fashion designers do not recommend men who are not tall to wear trousers with cuffs as they will make the legs seem visually shorter. If a man wears shoes of big size should avoid wearing models constricted from top to the bottom. Consider also the quality of the material the suit has been produced out of. Today the fashion suggests flowing materials with relief texture that will convey soft lines of a fashion-forward silhouette. The modern technology of producing the fabric with the maximum wool-content - up to 50 per cent allows the breathing of the body even if you are dressed in a summer suit without causing any discomfort. The present-day etiquette allows completing a suit with a waistcoat out of another decorative cloth - it is a highly fashionable trend nowadays. In this case a special accent should be put upon color combination of the waistcoat and the tie. It is not common to button up the last button of the waistcoat. Some Minor Details The tie reflects the taste of its wearer. For solemn occasions it is better to choose a tie out of natural or acetate silk. While choosing a tie to match your suit, try to follow a simple rule: the color of the tie should be of the same tone with the jacket, a little lighter or darker - then it will nicely supplement the suit. A black tie or a bow-tie is chosen on specially formal and solemn occasions. Consider in particular the socks that you will put on. First of all, the socks should be long. The elegant socks are usually dark, thin, produced out of silk and nylon. The shoes aimed to be worn at a wedding reception should be worn a little in advance to provide you with extra comfort during the celebration. Patent-leather shoes match a tuxedo or a tail-coat in the best possible way.
