Aluminum is used for many different construction projects. Some of the most common are bicycles, planes, cars and boats. It is used for these purposes because it is very lightweight and non-corrosive. All these forms of transport depend on strong but lightweight metal to move efficiently and save fuel. Bicycles: Nowadays bicycles are made from aluminum instead of steel, since, the former makes for improved management and speed. Aluminum is a robust material, besides being lightweight, which makes it easy to maneuver and rake up fast speeds. Being lightweight and long-lasting means that aluminum is ideal for use in racing bikes. Planes: Aluminum is especially good for planes due to its non-corrosive properties. It is also lightweight but surprisingly strong. Weight is very important in aviation. The lighter the plane the faster and more efficient it is. Cars: with the high cost of fuel, aluminum is being used more and more in cars to reduce weight and ultimately fuel consumption. In specialized cars that are built for speed like racing cars there is a lot of aluminum used for making the vehicle lighter. It is very important to make the car as light as possible for maximum speed efficiency. Hybrid cars, made of plastic and aluminum are the latest sensations in the new age, light cars. They are extremely fuel-efficient due to their smaller motors and lighter bodies. These environment friendly cars are becoming priority transport for many eco-friendly organizations and corporates. Aluminum boats are very popular due to their durability against leaks, rotting and corrosion. More and more boating companies are using aluminum in their constructions. Fishing boats especially prefer the efficiency of power and fuel that aluminum boats provide. The speed and durability are both essential criteria in their business. Aluminum boats are easy to repair than boats made of other metals. Transporting an aluminum boat is easier to handle and tow than boats made from other material because of its lighter weight. Of course it is much easier to maintain, as it will just require washing down as opposed to waxing and varnishing for other types of boats. They are also safer as instead of shattering on impact like a fiberglass boat can do, they will just dent. This allows you to keep repair costs down as well. Aluminum alloys are a cheap option for constructing the various parts of a train. The use of aluminum means that trains are now lighter, speedier and thus more efficient. Aluminum and its alloys are environment friendly as they are non-toxic, non-magnetic and have tensile strength. It has helped us in developing useful and reliable methods of transportation. From simple cars, jumbo jets, leisure yachts to real estate, aluminum has a pervasive presence in all segments of our lives.
