From the history of tampon

Tampons are usually made of extruded stitched wadding. It has cylindrical shape and lace for easy removal. Tampon is highly easy-to-use. It absorbs menstrual blood and shapes your body. Afterwards utilized tampon is extracted with the help of lace.
Follow some simple rules for correct tampon usage:
- Try to use tampons with absorbability that suits your organism peculiarities and avoid tampons with higher absorbability.
- Don’t use tampons permanently but in rare instances when it’s really necessary.
- Change tampons every 4 hours.
- Wash your hands before and after tampon usage.
- Don’t use tampons for non-menopause vaginal discharge absorption.
- Don’t use tampons at night. Sleep is the best time for vaginal fissures healing.
Observance of all the above mentioned will keep you from a very dangerous disease - TSS.
Toxic Shock Syndrome is a rare but dangerous disease. Tampons themselves have no bacterium though they can block vaginal infections bacteria making them reproduce very quickly and thus aggravating the disease. That’s why women suffering from vaginal infections are categorically forbidden to use tampons.
TSS appears when toxins get into blood flow. By unknown reason bacteria quickly breed and discharge toxins that get into blood. This disease is dangerous and may lead to fatal outcome. Most often TSS is met in women using highly absorbable tampons.
TSS symptoms: temperature rise, vomiting, rigor, diarrhea, convulsions, fainting, sharp blood pressure drop, rash.
