They were determined that whatever it cost them, they would see their world won to Jesus. As a modern-day church, we spend too much time, effort, and resources on things that are of no eternal value. The real purpose of the church is often overlooked. We must not be caught up in time-consuming efforts that do not fulfill the task of the church—to seek and to save the lost. Brother T. F. Tenney, superintendent of the Louisiana District, has made famous the statement, “It’s time to let the main thing be the main thing.” What is the “main thing”?
