Ideal Nutrition: Myth or Reality African Negroes are known to be lean and cheerful. They eat beetles and spiders sincerely believing that macaroni with sausages are for those resting in peace. Though, from our point of view such “insect” dieting is coercion over the nature, which always requires the following: fat, sweet and spicy. Is there any happy medium in nutrition or ideal dieting and is it a general notion, since every organism is individual? Perhaps the best way to find out what to eat and what not is to ask your own organism. However self-testing is a rather long and tedious process, since any organism is a very complicated system and its functioning is influenced by many factors. That is why it is reasonable to analyze the already existing humankind achievements in this domain. The world we live in is not ideal, though there is a real aspiration for the ideal in it. The evidence is “ideal shape”: its proportions have been determined and are well-known. Beauty contests always have their winners. The formula of ideal weight is not a big secret as well: for men it is height deducting weight, for women – ten more units deducted. However, as the owners of these ideal figures note, the price for them is hours of exhausting training, perpetual organism purging, physical deprivations and self-restrictions, which has nothing in common with ideal life-style. First and foremost not only qualitative composition of the products consumed has fundamental importance but also the pleasure a person gets from eating. For centuries doctors have attended the fact that those who eat with pleasure are less prone to cancer. And vice versa diseases affect those who eat indifferently and don’t think about the food consumed. That is why any food will never be ideal for you if you don’t think about it and consume without pleasure. Secondly, if there is any ideal nutrition it’s reasonable to ask about it the possessors of perfect body and health, i.e., long-livers. Mountain-dwellers are recognized long-livers. Their diet includes only fresh food: remains are given to animals. Moreover they eat mainly raw products: no baked yeasty bread. Mountain-dwellers have no frying pans – they boil all the products. This is the so called mono-diet. Such a diet has its own disadvantages, with the major being the fact that getting accustomed to one specific product organism receives less microelements and vitamins contained exclusively in seasoning and sauces.
