Hitler’s Criticism against Democracy

Hitler in his book Mein Kampf pitilessly attacks those politicians who get offices by giving false promises, and who elseweise cheats the people of their true aims. Besides, he says that such type of government has no one who would take the responsibility for incorrect judgments or making mistakes in fields such as economy and international diplomacy. He says that if the mistakes are made, the officials only resign or are not reelected, and repeatedly refers to this idea as being feeble and having no merit. Then he states that it would not be unjustified to think that all elected politicians had a little sense of responsibility, but then continues and says that making an individual accept a position on an issue that is unfit to him can ruin the character of this person. According to Hitler book nobody would rise and say that he could not accept a position on this issue because of having no knowledge on this matter.

Moreover, he condemns democracy because in his opinion it supports liberalism and provides too much freedom to the people and as Hitler believes with such freedom only chaos and internal problems can appear. Hitler roughly criticizes the necessity for electoral candidates to cringe to the masses every time the term of the elected official is coming to an end, or basically when the time of regular election comes. He furthermore condemns the weak methods applied by the electoral candidates to criticize the other candidates and to apply manners in order to stultify each other, reminding children who are playing a game. A child, states Hitler in his book, will change his or her views that are grounded on the necessity to do so, usually in reply to acceptance of other children and consequently to be compatible with what other children want and desire.
