High School Musical's Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron seem to be a hot item not only in the made-for-television film, but also in real life. As High School Musical tells the story of Troy Bolton's new found love in Gabriella Montez and Sharpay Evan's efforts to get herself in between them, the young teen idols seem to be having their own intimate relationship off camera. Ashley Tisdale, who plays Sharpay, was reported to be dating Jared Murillo, who played a basketball player and dancer in the first movie.

It may be a hasty generalization, but 22-year-old Tisdale seems to be attracted to younger men, as Murillo is only 19 years old. Murillo's father thinks it's a serious relationship, as he said to the press that the two were "hopelessly in love." Tisdale was also once linked to Lucas Grabeel, who plays her brother, Ryan Evans, on High School Musical.

Now on to Lucas Grabeel. No news yet on his love life, as he opted to bring along his mom to the premiere of High School Musical 2. Corbin Bleu is also available, however, rumors rose a few months ago that he was dating co-star Monique Coleman.

Romantic linkages started as early as two years ago, when the first movie began filming. The lead stars of the movie, Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens, were romantically linked, with reports through the Internet saying that she recently had a sleepover at his place. Previous reports also said that the couple's relationship was in the rocks, but last night's Teen Choice Awards showed a very happy couple.

Hudgens was by Efron's side as he accepted many awards on behalf of High School Musical, including Choice Hottie. Very appreciative of his fans at the beginning, Efron couldn't say much as the crowd was going wild. Later on, he seemed a bit annoyed that he couldn't get a word in. Hudgens also won an award for Choice Female Breakout Music Artist. The couple was together the entire event.
