End of the world predictions have been around for a long time. When the year 1000 A.D. was approaching many feared it would be the end of mankind.

In 1999 we saw the doom and gloom reports of the dreaded Y2K bug and its demise of the world economies. Y2K made a lot of people rich with their end of the world predictions.

Todays end of the world predictions are related to more sinister and global events. We are constantly hearing about terrorism, global warming, flu pandemics, and more. Could these all be signs that the end of the world is coming?

Remember the prophet Nostradamus? Many would say his prophesies are so accurate that it can make the hair on the back of your head stand up.

The prophesies of Nostradamus have been so accurate that they have predicted the rise and fall of Hitler, Napoleon and others. In addition Nostradamus accurately predicted the events on 911.

Will December 21, 2012 be the end of the world? One calendar that has been extremely accurate for centuries says it will be. The Mayan calendar has been so precise it predicted the eclipses of Venus moon 6000 years in advance with only one day of error.

People shouldnt just rely on prophesies and predictions of the past. When we dont know how they were derived then we are just putting a lot of faith in the unknown.

If there is a convergence then the 2012 end of the world date may be valid. We should heed the warning and get prepared now.
