Choices For the Twenty-First Century

For more than a thousand years, the Western World lay in the grip of error, corruption, and ignorance. The Bible was a mystery, guarded by a church steeped in tradition and false doctrine. It was chained to the walls of cathedrals, hidden in a language the masses did not understand. It was hand copied, incredibly expensive and as remote to the average man as the moon.
The vast majority of humankind was wallowing in ignorance and superstition, dependant on the few educated men for any knowledge of the world around them. The common people lived in squalor, fear, and hunger, and died as old people in their late 30s and early 40s.

Suddenly the Protestant Reformation exploded into existence. Although fought on every hand, often with sword and fire, it step by step brought men closer to truth. Beginning with Luther's revelation that the just shall live by faith, the Reformation returned truth to the church until finally, just a lifetime ago and nearly 500 years after it began, it brought us to the truth of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, the full deity of Jesus Christ, and Jesus Name baptism that we know today.
