Beware Internet Marketing Scams in Your Rush to Work from Home

I began what I thought was going to be my short journey. I was promised that I would make my money back in 90 days verbally and in writing over a period of 12 months. Yes, I had written guarantees and warranties.

I started with only 10 hours a week. . . I started by writing an ebook. That took about a month all together. Once the ebook was done, then I was told to write a sales letter. I did. It was terrible. No one wanted my ebook. I was to meet weekly with my "coach" which I did, but no one ever really looked at my sales letter. I was now putting in 20-30 hours a week writing and rewriting my sales letter and building a website. The hosting site where my ebook was placed had major problems. The site was not working more then it was (what they call being "down"). I was told (once I paid of course) that it was up to me to learn how to edit my own site and build it.

Whoa. . . I paid $12,000 for DIY? I didn't know that. I thought I had paid for THEM to make me a millionaire over a period of a year! Be realistic here. . . I believed they could do that through the millionaire mentors, but I was down to earth enough just to be happy to make my $12,000 back and learn how to build sites on the Internet.

I continued to work and build and work and build and make calls to tech support. 3 months passed and I was exhausted. I kept watching to see where my sales were and how many visitors I had to my site. Apparently I had lots of visitors to my site, yet I had no idea where they were coming from since many of my pages on the internet were wrongly placed there by my hosting account. 6 months passed. . . same thing. No sales. My sales page was terrible. My coaches didn't seem too concerned because they just kept telling me to work on it MYSELF. They made little comments here and there, but the bottom line was, I was still doing it myself.

I became frantic. It was clear that my $12,000 had been eaten by some Internet "monsters". I was sickened. But being a perfectionist, I didn't give up. By the way, did I tell you that I kept praying too? My vision became a trial. My trial became a daily curse. Without God, I would have lost my mind and that is not an exaggeration.

8 months later, one of the internet coaches actually looked at my site. . . hmmm. He explained that my site wasn't making any sales because I was in a market that was too highly competitive. "You need to identify a niche" he said. "Who, ME? I was paying YOU to make this website successful. So, for $12,000 I need to indentify a market niche? By the way, what is a market niche?" I just got off the phone with him and cried and cried and cried.

Please forgive me for baring my soul here. It's not something I want to do but if I can help anyone learn from my lessons, that is my heart's desire.

I will be back with a continuation soon. I hope you will keep reading because there is hope, but the path to finding a light at the end of the tunnel can be riddled with thorns and danger.

God bless you and see you soon! Visit my other sites too. Thanks so much.
